When I feel that I am leaving every comfort I know behind...

   When the few short days I spend at home with the people I most love in this world--are gone...

   When I find myself alone, in a frightful world, to venture off in a foreign land...

   All I can say is “He pushes me forward.”

        I have been reading about Martin Luther and cannot help but be inspired by this courageous, zealous, and faithful man of God.  His passion for the Truth greatly encourages me in this time - a time where I have no choice but to be utterly dependent on a stronger, higher Being that knows where I’m going and what I’ll be doing, because honestly, I feel like I have no clue!  

“God does not guide me, He pushes me forward.  He carries me away.  I am not master of myself.  I desire to live in repose, but I am thrown into the midst of tumults and revolutions.” (GC 127)

When I feel alone, maybe misunderstood and afraid to face all the adversaries, I take comfort in the words of Luther...
