When I feel alone, maybe misunderstood and afraid to face all the adversaries,
I take comfort in the words of Luther...

“Moses was alone at the departure from Egypt;

Elijah was alone in the reign of King Ahab;

Isaiah alone in Jerusalem;

Ezekiel alone in Babylon...

God never selected as a prophet either the high priest or any other great personage; but ordinarily He chose low and despised men, once even the shepherd Amos..I do not say I am a prophet; but I say that they ought to fear precisely because I am alone and that they are many I am sure of this, that the word of God is with me, and that it is not with them.”

And yet, I have only begun my journey.  That is why, I must now reconsecrate, rededicate, and submit all that I am, all that I live for, to my Lord and Savior, I pray that the mighty fire that once burned in my heart will burn once again and consume the pride and selfishness, the covetousness and any other evil that might reign there.  Through a series of events that took place this summer, the Lord allowed me to fall many times so that I might see my weakness in thinking I can stand on my own  Oh, how foolish!
